Hi,
My name is Judith, and ever since studying philosophy I have been interested in the relationship between embodiment and consciousness. For almost ten years, I have been working with people around the themes of movement, knowledge, and felt experience.
As a yoga and asana teacher (trained as a 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher and a 500-hour Dynamic Mindfulness Teacher), I began to engage critically with the cultural history of yoga. This led me to gradually distance myself from the term yoga and from some of the issues associated with it, such as cultural appropriation, abuses of power, and the wellness and self-optimization industry.
At the same time, Contact Improvisation helped me rediscover my passion for dance and inspired me to explore a wide range of other movement practices. Through Axis Syllabus, I eventually found my way to Body-Mind Centering®.
Since 2023, I have been enrolled in the certification program with moveus, where I am studying the Body-Mind Centering® approach in depth. Alongside this, I practice Kung Fu and Qigong regularly, continue dancing with the Movement Artisans, and consider my daily meditation practice an essential anchor.
My own movement practice and my work are centred on entering into dialogue with the body as an integral part of who we are. I enjoy immersing myself in anatomy and biomechanics, as well as in the meanings and narratives that we carry within our bodies.
I am inspired by the interplay between science and felt experience, feminism, our relationship with nature and other animals, literature, rhythm, and my dog, Vasja.
I am certified by the German Central Prevention Certification Body (Zentrale Prüfstelle Prävention, ZPP) to offer Yoga courses that are eligible for reimbursement by statutory health insurance providers.
